At Mary Arden’s farm we did all sorts of things! First the lady took us into a small barn with a curtain to separate us from the girls, then we got changed into our Tudor outfits, when they revealed our clothes to everyone we all looked so funny! Then we did our activities, like gardening, making lavender bags and baking bread. The reason we made lavender bags was because in those days they did not have toilets which flushed so they thought that if you smelt bad smells it would make you ill. So if you smelt your lavender bag the smell would go away. We watched a lady make butter with just cream and her hand, it took a long time! Last we watched the Master fly his birds. That was our second trip in two weeks! We are so lucky!
