Kindness Matters
We encourage all the children to be aware of others, and to be kind in all areas of their life. Philanthropy is a key topic in both school assemblies and PSHCE lessons.
Choosing our Charities
Every year, Year 8 pupils are encouraged to choose a charity and to spend time raising awareness and money for them. The children can have very personal reasons for choosing these charities and often continue to support them even when they have left Spratton Hall.

Sal’s Shoes
Every year the children can also donate any shoes that they have outgrown to Sal’s Shoes, which distributes them to children who need them across the world. The pupils also write short, thoughtful notes for the recipient of the shoes to read.
NSPCC
All proceeds from our range of pre-owned uniform items in the school shop are donated to the NSPCC.
Outspan School Project
Through the Outspan School Project in Uganda, we are proud to sponsor a 16-year-old girl called Flavia, who loves school. She is doing well in her schooling and examinations and wishes to become an eye surgeon.
The Outspan project have donated computers, stationery, mosquito nets and bedding and have used our donations to help dig a borehole at the secondary school which is used and valued by pupils.
We thank all our pupils and parents that have donated to the appeal to date.
Fundraising Fun
We have at least one whole school fundraising day per term with the emphasis definitely on ‘fun’, these include:
- Charity Cake Sales
- Santa Fun Run
- Rock Your Socks Day
- Onesie Days
- Christmas Jumper Days
- Colourful Home Clothes Days
- Harvest Festival Donations
