Games Kit
Pupils should take all their required kit into school at the beginning of each school week and place it in their locker in the Underwood building locker before the day begins.
Matches
Parents are welcome to watch both inter-school and house matches, followed by our legendary Spratton Hall match tea. Away matches can also be watched subject to the current policies of the hosting opposition. Spratton has an excellent “touchline” reputation as our teams are always so well supported.
You will generally receive an email a few days before the match to say which team your child is in, details about the fixture, including teamsheets, start time and match location, can be found on the SchoolSports.com (Socs) website.
All pupils who take part in matches are expected to stay for tea afterwards to socialise with the opposing team. Most schools provide a tea for the spectators as well (Spratton certainly does!).
If a match has to be cancelled you will be informed by ClarionCall text if it is the day before or on the day and a note will also be placed on the website under ‘Amendments’ on the home page. If it is cancelled more than a week in advance, then the information will be in the weekly newsletter.
Teamsheets
Teamsheets can be found on Socs and are also displayed on the Sports Notice Board, which is on the wall by the double black gates.
The teamsheet will detail the team, the players selected, the opposition, the venue (if away, the opposition’s address is included), what time they need to be at the match and an estimated return time if the match is away.
Travel to Matches
For weekday matches, the pupils will travel to matches by coach or minibus. At the weekend it is the parents’ responsibility to provide transport for their child. If, however, you require assistance to get to an away match then please let the relevant coach of the team know.
If transport coach is delayed for some reason on the way back to Spratton, then every effort will be made to inform you by a ClarionCall text.
Boys generally travel to matches in their kit and tracksuits, but sometimes need their full school uniform to change into afterwards. The girls however can wear their kit and tracksuits to and from a fixture as they often have varying start times and play on Astro.
Socs
SportsSearch.com (Socs) is the Website/App used by the School to view all our current fixtures and associated information. You will receive a password when your child starts school, or you can request one from office@sprattonhall.com.
