The Prep School
The Prep (Preparatory) School at Spratton Hall comprises of Years 3 to 8. The majority of children move up from our Pre-Prep
Department in Year 3, but children from other schools can join us at any time up to Year 8.
Private, Prep or Independent?
We are called a Preparatory School, because traditionally we prepare pupils for their senior school 13+ Common Entrance exams,
although you may hear us referred to as a private or independent school as well.
Prep School Life
From breakfast club to after school clubs, Prep School days are packed with inspiring lessons, energetic sports and fun extra-curricular activities. See what our pupils can expect on a typical day.
Academic
The Prep School has a strong academic focus and the children’s results are always excellent, however, we are not a hot house. Take a look at our curriculum, subjects and learning support offering.
The Arts
With a large theatre, art and ceramic studios and music block, the Prep School children can freely express themselves and build confidence, in their regular art, drama and music lessons.
Sport
We expertly-coach the Prep School children to play, and compete in 10 different sports, on our 50 acres of pitches, tracks, fields and courts. Every pupil will play for a school team.
